Help & FAQ
The questions we get asked most. If yours is not here, just reach out.
Getting started
How much does it cost to sign up?
Nothing. There is no membership fee, no monthly charge and no minimum number of packages. You only pay when you ship something.
How do I get my U.S. address?
Create an account and it appears immediately, along with your personal PES mailbox number. Use both at checkout on any U.S. store.
Which stores can I shop?
Any store that delivers within the United States. Amazon, SHEIN, Walmart, eBay, Temu, Target, AliExpress — if they ship to Florida, they ship to you.
Shipping & delivery
How long does delivery take?
Transit time depends on when your package reaches our Florida warehouse, the flight schedule and customs clearance. A pre-alerted package clears considerably faster than one without an invoice. You can follow every stage in your account.
What is a pre-alert and do I have to do it?
A pre-alert tells us a package is on its way and gives us the invoice up front. It is not compulsory, but it is the single biggest thing you can do to speed up delivery — Jamaica Customs needs that invoice, and having it before the flight lands means your package clears on arrival instead of waiting.
How is my package weighed and charged?
By the whole pound, rounded up, with a minimum of 1 lb. Unusually large but light items may be charged on volumetric weight instead. The full rate card is on our rates page.
What if my package arrives without my mailbox number?
It becomes an unidentified package. We hold it and work to trace the owner, but a J$1,000 fee applies and it will delay you. Always include your PES ID at checkout.
Customs & charges
When do I have to pay customs duty?
Packages with a declared value under US$100 are not subject to Jamaica Customs duties. At US$100 and above, a J$500 processing fee applies along with whatever duties and GCT Customs assesses on the item category.
Can you tell me the duty before I buy?
Not exactly. Duty rates are set by Jamaica Customs and vary by item category. Our calculator gives you the freight and handling side precisely, which is the part we control.
Is there anything you cannot ship?
Yes. Items prohibited or restricted by airline regulation and Jamaican law cannot be shipped, including:
- Flammables, aerosols, compressed gas and lithium batteries shipped loose
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons and parts
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Perishable food, live plants and animals
- Currency, and hazardous or corrosive materials
Some items — medication, certain electronics, commercial quantities — are restricted rather than banned and need documentation or a permit. If you are unsure, ask us before you order.
This list is a guide, not the full legal list. Jamaica Customs has the final say.
Account & payment
How do I pay?
Invoices appear in your account when your package is processed. You can view every invoice, receipt and payment in your billing history at any time.
How do I track my package?
Log in and open Tracking. Every status change is recorded — received at the warehouse, in transit, cleared customs, ready for pickup — and we email you as it moves.
Can I return something to a U.S. store?
Get in touch before you send anything back. Returns need to be arranged with us so the package is handled correctly at the warehouse.
